Holiday Toy Drive Thru

It has always been, and continues to be, extremely important for the Eagles to give back to the community during the Holiday season. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to execute our annual Toy Drive that commonly takes place at a home game in early December, nor the Food Drive that takes place each year at the Hurley Cup. Well, that didn’t sit well with us…so in lieu of those two important events we are excited to bring to life the 1st Annual Holiday Toy Drive Thru!

What are the details?

As an extra safety measure the event will take place outdoors at Centre 200 on Saturday, November 28th from 11am-3pm and will operate as a drive thru service. Our fans and extended community alike are invited to purchase a new or unwrapped toy for donation to one of three fantastic community organizations. This year’s toy benefactors include the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Breton, Cape Breton Transition House, and Every Woman’s Centre. Participants are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be collected on behalf of Feed Nova Scotia. Those donating will drive through a clearly marked area in which members of the Eagles team and staff of benefiting organizations will collect your donation right from your vehicle! Also, making a special appearance to help with collection for the event will be Screech, SANTA, and more!

It is worth noting that all collected items will be received with COVID-19 protocols in mind, and all items will be properly sanitized before reaching their final destination.

We would hank all of our fans and extended community members for their ensuring a successful, and safe event! See you all Saturday, November 28th!
