Eagles Trade Element, Acquire Paré In Deal With Victoriaville

The Cape Breton Eagles have made a trade involving a pair of 20 year old forwards and multiple draft picks on Wednesday.

The Eagles have traded Shawn Element (2000-04-23) and Cape Breton’s fifth round draft pick in 2023 in exchange for Félix Paré (2000-03-28), Victoriaville’s second round draft pick in 2021, Victoriaville’s second round draft pick in 2023, and Victoriaville’s third round draft pick in 2023.

Element was named Eagles captain at the beginning of the 2020-21 season and has recorded 28 points in 15 games this season after notching 38 goals last year. He was originally acquired from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan during last season’s trade window.

Paré has collected three points through eight games thus far this year after a 31 point campaign during the 2019-20 season. This is his fourth full season in the QMJHL.

The QMJHL’s 2020-21 trade period will conclude at noon on January 25th, 2021. For all information regarding trades and schedule announcements, please continue to consult the Cape Breton Eagles website and team social media.
