Eagles In Halifax To Begin Final Weekend Of The Season

With just two days remaining in the QMJHL regular season, the Cape Breton Eagles are in Halifax for their final meeting of the season with the arch-rival Halifax Mooseheads. With a victory tonight the Eagles would clinch finishing at least seventh place in the Eastern Conference and could move into sixth place depending on the result of Baie-Comeau’s game against Chicoutimi. (The Eagles currently trail Baie-Comeau by a single point and lead Charlottetown by three points.) The Eagles will be without defenseman Trevor Thurston tonight as he will be serving a one game suspension for high sticking. Here’s what else you need to know ahead of tonight’s game!
