SYDNEY- The Cape Breton Eagles announced today that Chadd Cassidy has resigned from his position as Head Coach of the hockey club.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that the Cape Breton Eagles have provided me,” said Cassidy upon announcing his departure from the team. “I truly believe in the organization and their goals going forward. It was my every intention that my family would be moving with me to Cape Breton when I took the job, but my family situation has changed and we are unable to relocate to Cape Breton. After getting back home with my family it became more and more clear to me that I can’t be without them. After a very long and difficult decision-making process, I have decided to step down as Head Coach of the Cape Breton Eagles.”
The Cape Breton Eagles would like to thank Chadd Cassidy for his time and efforts with the Eagles organization. The search for a new Head Coach will begin immediately.
