Eagles Finish Regular Season In Moncton Today

The Cape Breton Eagles will be playing for sixth place in the Eastern Conference today as they finish up the regular season against the Moncton Wildcats in New Brunswick. The Eagles & Baie-Comeau Drakkar are currently tied for sixth, but the Eagles hold the tiebreaker.
Should the Eagles finish sixth, they will play Moncton or the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the first round. If the Eagles defeat Moncton in regulation and Chicoutimi defeats Baie-Comeau in regulation or overtime, the Eagles will play Chicoutimi in the opening round of the playoffs. Any other scenario in which the Eagles finish in sixth place would result in a Moncton/Cape Breton matchup.
If the Eagles fall to seventh place, they will play the Halifax Mooseheads in the first round of the playoffs.
