The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have announced today details of their annual Teddy Bear Toss game, which will be held in conjunction with The Max 98.3 Tons of Toys Toy Drive for The Salvation Army. This year the event will be held on Saturday, December 9th, when the Screaming Eagles host the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
The Teddy Bear Toss is held every season in support of the Every Women’s Centre in Sydney. Fans attending the December 9th game are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or plush toy to throw on the ice when the Screaming Eagles score their first goal. All donations will be collected off the ice and donated to the Every Women’s Centre and the Salvation Army.
“94.9 FM The Cape, 1270 AM CJCB and Max FM 98.3 have been doing a Christmas toy drive with the Salvation Army for over three decades and we are thrilled to partner with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Every Women’s Centre to make it even bigger and better than ever,” says Alan Peddle, general sales manager for 94.9 The Cape, 1270 CJCB and Max 98.3. “There is always such a great need at this time of the year, and we know that Cape Bretoners will step up- they always do.”
